Growing up, I learned that culture is more than tradition — it’s how we speak, how we dress, how we celebrate, how we survive, and how we create beauty out of experience. This exhibition captures those emotions through color, texture, symbolism, and storytelling.
Cheers To The Culture is about pride.

It’s about seeing ourselves reflected in fine art without limitation.

Great Luck is a celebration of fortune, abundance, and recognizing the blessings that quietly find their way into our lives.
A ladybug rests delicately on the fingertip of a Black woman, surrounded by warm golden tones and layered rings. Traditionally associated with good fortune, the ladybug becomes a reminder that luck doesn't always arrive in grand gestures. Sometimes, the smallest sign can carry the greatest promise.
The composition plays with the contrast between material and natural treasures. The rings represent the things we intentionally acquire and value, while the ladybug represents something that can't be bought—the unexpected favor of simply being in the right place, at the right time.
Great Luck is about welcoming prosperity while appreciating the subtle signs along the journey. When fortune lands in your hands, recognize it, protect it, and never take it for granted.

Grace is an exploration of the delicacies of life—the beautiful things that cannot be forced, rushed, or held too tightly.
A butterfly rests gently at the fingertips of a Black woman, creating a quiet moment between human touch and nature. Its fragile wings contrast against the strength of the hand, while the jeweled ring adds another layer of beauty and refinement. Both are precious in their own way, yet the butterfly represents a kind of value that can never truly be possessed.
The piece speaks to how some of life's greatest gifts—love, peace, opportunity, growth, and meaningful moments—require a gentle touch. There is strength in knowing when to hold on, but there is also grace in knowing when not to.

A dark serpent coils calmly around the hand of a Black woman, while an emerald ring echoes the rich green palette surrounding them. Rather than portraying the snake as something to fear, the piece reimagines it as an ally: dangerous, capable, and powerful, yet completely at ease in her presence.
The work speaks to a particular kind of confidence—the ability to exist alongside forces that others may find intimidating because you understand their value and know how to harness their strength. True power isn't always about being the strongest force in the room; sometimes it's about having the strongest forces in the room on your side.
Power Under Control is a visual statement about alliance, influence, protection, and calculated strength—a reminder that power becomes even greater when you know how to control it.

Blowing Kisses is a deeply personal exploration of love, luck, memory, and the traditions we carry with us. A striking red cardinal rests delicately on the hand of a Black woman, adorned with a bold ruby ring, against a rich monochromatic red backdrop.
The inspiration behind the piece comes from a childhood memory. My great uncle once told me that whenever I saw a red bird, I should blow it a kiss for good luck. That simple tradition stayed with me, transforming the cardinal into more than just a bird—it became a symbol of good fortune, remembrance, and the wisdom passed down through family.
The ruby ring and crimson palette extend that symbolism, representing value, love, passion, and something precious enough to hold onto. Blowing Kisses captures the quiet beauty of carrying a piece of childhood into adulthood—a reminder that sometimes the smallest traditions become the ones that stay with us forever.
